FAQs

  • We take pups in from 14 weeks onwards, providing they are fully vaccinated and 7 days has passed from their last vaccination to ensure the vaccine is affective.

  • Dogs can attend our facility, not de-sexed up until 6 months of age. Our facility policy is that all dogs, male & female need to be de-sexed from 6 months onwards to attend our daycare. Main reason being, is safety. Dogs are welcome to take a break and when their owners’ chose to have their dog de-sexed, their dog can come back into our facility, providing it’s been 6 months or less since their last visit.

  • Yes, all new pups/dogs coming into our facility need to book in for a behavioral assessment before they can book in a daycare session. Once your dog has completed the assessment, they will not have to do another assessment unless they stop coming into our facility for 6 months or more, or we see some severe behavioral changes in their dogs, which could affect the safety of their dog and others when in our care.

  • We require 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a daycare booking because by law we need to work by a dog to staff ratio. The 48 hours allows enough time to staff accordingly.

  • Absolutely! We can and will refuse care should your dog not be up to date with their vaccinations. It is an owner’s responsibility to provide our office with up-to-date vaccination records.

  • Our daycare opens at 7.30am and we close at 6pm.

Dog drop off time is between 7.30am-9am, we do not take dogs into daycare after 9am as we start assessments for new dogs at 9.30am and we want to make sure that the group of dogs in for the day are all happy & settled before we introduce a new puppy or dog to the pack. Our dog pick up time is between 4pm-6pm.

  • Our daycare sessions are full days only. We stick to a daily routine, and dogs have an allocated rest time between 12pm-1.30pm. It would be too disruptive for owners to be coming in to collect dogs during this period.

  • Yes, we do offer holiday/overnight care subject to the business owner’s availability. Dogs staying in holiday care at Mind My Lead need to be suitable for daycare, as during the day they will be in daycare socializing with the other dogs. Dogs are required to complete a behavioral assessment and attend our facility at least once or twice before they can book holiday care, to ensure they are happy and comfortable in our environment & they are a good fit for our existing fur family.

  • All our dogs that come into our facility are mixed together, regardless of their age, breed, size or temperament. All dogs are treated equally and we feel exposing them to other breeds, sizes, temperaments etc. helps with their development, playing style, confidence and socialization skills.
